It’s not even work if you love what you do. Find that one thing that brings you joy and run with it. I know many of you don’t LOVE working out as much as I do. That is ok! But if you can find ways to make working out more fun not only will you enjoy it more, but it will help you be consistent and get better overall results. Here are a few tips to consider that might help make training more FUN.
Train with friends: Couples or group training is a great way to keep it fun. We are talking friends, family, and spouses. You can make these important life changes together. When one of you are feeling unmotivated the other can lift you up. Friendly competition is always a good way to reach new levels of intensity without even realizing it. Training times are header to miss when others are depending on you. Here at Elite Training Tulsa we give great discounts for group training (2+) and even better when we are talking family.
Change it up: Doing the same workout and exercises all the time can get boring. I like to change things up often to keep it interesting and to keep progress moving forward. There is no one way to reach a particular fitness goal. We can incorporate so many different types of exercises, routines, techniques, and programs. There is a reason we have battle ropes, tires, kettle bells, exercise balls, a sled, and a virtual jungle gym. Many people come to personal training facilities like ours because they do not know what to do. Well, we do. Let’s us help you.
Track your progress: Sometimes we work so hard and get discouraged because we don’t look like our friends on Facebook or Instagram. This should never be about comparing ourselves to other people. Focus on how far you have come. It’s the journey to your best self that matters here. That is hard to do if you are never tracking your progress. I do encourage everybody to weigh, measure, and to take progress pictures. You may be surprised how much you have changed. Take it a step further and also keep a workout journal to record exercises, sets/reps, and weight. Here at Elite Training we definitely step it up by incorporating our heart rate monitoring system that tracks your heart rate, calories burned, and so much more. Besides monitoring your weight and measurements regularly we also have “fit tests” that will keep track of your endurance, strength, and flexibility changes over time. Ask about our “Accelerator” packages.
Keep it fun,
